Smile

It sounds ever so simple 'smile'.
It's what we do when we meet people, when we're having our photo taken or when we like someone.  But what does a 'smile' mean?
In simple terms it's an outward expression of how your heart or soul resonate with a situation.

We can all tell a false smile immediately; it's as if we can sense there is no heart or soul behind it.
So to honestly smile and mean it we need to connect with our hearts and souls and beam brightly with the result.

For some people a smile, even from a stranger can re-engage them with their hearts and souls.  It makes a deep connection in that fleeting second and if you have ever tried it, you will almost always get a smile in return.

The angels taught me when I was young that the intention I held in my heart when doing anything was the genuine reason for doing it.  This intention was the true and divine purpose of my actions and would always steer me in the right direction.  So when I smile it is genuine, as I am tapping into a deep connection between my heart and soul and the resounding smile is truly heart felt and heart given.

Smile at someone today, connect with how you feel when you do it.

If my post has resonated with you today, consider leaving a comment as to do so not only expands your learning and understand but also help others on their path and journey.
Many thanks and blessings Cora x

Love and Strength

We are often told to open our hearts to love and to show love to others especially those who hurt and upset us. This allows us to forgive and move on, opening us up to further love and grace.
Most of the time it is easy to open your heart and shower those you love and the world in the healing glow of your love.

On the other hand there are times when this is the most difficult thing in the world to do. There are days when our loved ones hurt us, either through actions or words and these actions gnaw away at our souls. They pierce a thin membrane and wound us deeply. We are after all human and the fragility of being human can at times make us paper over aches and wounds so we can muster the strength to face another day. Therefore it doesn't take much to peel this fragile layer away and re-expose the wound.
At times like this having strength of the soul can help you to face this wound, take on its pain and see it in the light of day. You can examine why this wound hurts and why are you carrying around this hurt? Every little question you answer and expose can help you to permanently remove these hurts and wounds allowing your strength to overcome and fight on.

To love means you have to be strong, because love has many facets and dimensions, many ways it can be used against you, many ways to hurt and wound you but its greatest treasure is that it can be the answer to all your questions and be the one part of you that you take with you. It never subsides, never dies and never ever leaves you.

Have the strength to love.

A Hollow Heart

A heart to love encased in gold
now shrivelled tight and old
not to beat with life and love,
the story now unfolds.

It beats a life
an echo felt
within a chest so cold.
Encased within its withered shred
of hate, regret and woes

Hollowed out of love and life
empty thunders roar.
Not to live a life of love
its beating endless chore.

Smile

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds, in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile, through your fear and sorrow
Smile, and there'll be tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through
If you'll....
Sung by Judy Garland.

For the past few days this song has been going around in my head.  Its a lovely reminder to Smile at someone today.

Wikipedia's explanation of a Smile - A smile is a facial expression formed by flexing the muscles near both ends of the mouth.

So why do we smile ?
  • We smile at funny things.
  • We smile at babies and children.
  • We smile when we recognise someone we know.
  • We smile at the love in our life.
  • We smile when we are happy.
  • Sometimes we smile for no apparent reason.
What happens when we smile ?
  • Smiling relaxes us and people we meet.
  • Smiling helps to boost the immune system.
  • Smiling releases endorphines in the brain, helping us feel good.
  • Smiling helps to lower blood pressure.
  • Smiling helps to relive stress.
So the evidence shows that smiling is good for us.  Ask your angels to remind you to smile, use this beautiful Gift we have all received from God.

Let's keep doing it, smile at someone today - they may smile back.

Heaven's Gate

Heaven's Gate

So you've done it, lived your life, been good and kind, a spiritual person, gave to charity and worked hard.

So you arrive at Heaven's Gate - what next?
Poor old Saint Peter shuffles forward with a clipboard in hand, "Just a few questions and then you can be on your way," he mumbles.
Somethings obviously are the same as on earth, you think to yourself.

So what are the questions?
Well everyone is different and we all live very different lives, even within families.
What questions do you think you'll be asked?

Some of you will say, well i've never thought about that, mmmm let me see...

Okay so its not something you expect to think about regularly, I agree.  But honestly why not give it a few minutes now?

Some of the things you won't be asked are :

So how many bedrooms did your home have?
How many houses did you own?
How many acres of land?  Really that many !
You drove a what?   Nice !!!
Bank balance please?  That many zeros!
Income before tax ?
How many plasma TV's?
How many people did you walk over to get to your current employment position?
Where did you holiday?
etc ...

So to think about some you might be asked :

Who did you help when they didn't ask for your help?
How kind were you to people you didn't like?
How many times did you do it because you knew it was the right thing to do?
How many times did you forgive people who did and said hurtful thing to you?
How many times did you turn the other cheek?
How often did you just sit and listen?
How many times did you wipe the slate clean and begin again?
How often did you cry when you couldn't see a solution to a situation?
Did you love with an open and just heart?
What intention did you hold in your heart before you did something for someone else?

If you're being really honest you might find that one or two from the top list creep into your questions, however, it's what you're asked when you get there that's important not what you answer today.

Which list do you want to answer when you reach Heaven's Gate ?
